Police were called to a Meiggs-Backus Road bus stop in East Sandwich to break up a fight between parents on the first day of school.

The fight was reported at 8:17 AM on Tuesday, September 15, as the parents were waiting with their children for the school bus to arrive. Police said the two men got into an argument over the exact location of the bus stop, with each man believing it to be at a different spot in the area.

Police said the men were swearing at each other and that the argument turned into a shoving match.

Police arrived on scene and spoke to both men. No charges will be filed.
