A Forestdale man was uninjured when he was driven off the road by another driver on Sunday, December 22.

Police were contacted by the man’s mother at 10:10 PM. As a result of the call, police responded to the intersection of Jones Lane and Andersen Avenue where they found a black sedan off the roadway and crashed into a road sign. Police said the sign was destroyed.

The driver was identified as Connor Jackimowicz, 23, of Forestdale and he was not injured. He told police that as he was driving, he saw a car coming at him in the wrong lane at a high rate of speed with its high beams on. He swerved to avoid being struck head-on and struck the sign.

Witnesses confirmed Mr. Jackimowicz’s account of the crash and said that they saw two men inside of the other vehicle.

No one was able to get the license plate number of the vehicle and police have not identified the driver of the vehicle.
