An East Sandwich man contacted police Friday, December 4, to say he received a series of threatening text messages.
The man walked into the police station at 2:34 PM to report the threats.
He told police that he had initially received a text from someone claiming to be a woman who gave “massages with happy endings,” and asked if he would be interested in her services.
He responded that he was, in fact, interested and gave the person his address.
The woman then asked him to send her money for the massage using Western Union. At this point the man decided that he was no longer interested and declined to continue the transaction.
The next day he started getting phone calls and text messages from the number demanding that he pay the money.
The text messages contained photos of bullet-ridden bodies along with messages that he would meet the same fate if he did not pay.
Police attempted to contact the number but did not reach anyone. There are no suspects at this time.
