Sandwich fire/rescue personnel transported a motorcyclist to Cape Cod Hospital on Monday, May 25, after he lost control on the wet pavement and crashed into a car on Old County Road.

Police were called to Old County Road in the area of Volunteer Road at 12:12 AM.

The crash occurred when Andrew Zeglen, 28, of Sandwich was trying to navigate a curve in the road on his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle and lost traction on the slick roadway. The motorcycle fell to the ground and slid toward a 2005 Hyundai driven by Steven Klenert, 21, of Sandwich, police said.

Mr. Zeglen landed on the windshield of Mr. Klenert's car, resulting in minor injuries to himself and significant damage to the windshield.

Mr. Zeglen was taken to Cape Cod Hospital to be evaluated for his minor injuries. No citations were issued, police said.
