Two teens are facing unlicensed driving charges following a traffic stop on Cotuit Road on Sunday, February 9.
An officer on patrol stopped the car at 5:41 PM and identified the driver as a 17-year-old boy from Marstons Mills. A passenger in the car was identified as a 16-year-old boy from West Barnstable. The car belonged to the passenger’s parents.
In speaking with the driver, police found that the boy did not have a license to drive a car.
As a result of the incident, the driver will be summoned to court on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and the passenger will be summoned for allowing unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Both boys were released to their parents.
