When a Sandwich boy found that his scooter wheels had been stolen from the skate park, a group of teenagers stepped in to get the wheels back.

At 2:08 PM on Saturday, February 6, a man walked into the police station to report that his son’s scooter wheels were stolen while he was at the skate park.

The 11-year-old boy told police that he had left the wheels unattended on top of his backpack while he enjoyed the park. When he returned to his bag, the wheels were gone.

Police spoke with a group of teenagers who were known to frequent the park and asked them if they had seen anything.

The teens said that another teenager that they were not acquainted with had been at the park and was heard bragging about stealing the boy’s wheels.

After talking with police, the teens confronted the boy and demanded that he return the wheels, which he did, according to the police report.

The wheels were turned into the police station and returned to the boy.
