Three men were arrested and charged with armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon following an incident on Tarragon Drive at approximately 12:35 AM Saturday, July 13, according to a statement from the Sandwich Police Department.
Sandwich police responded to a report of "a group of kids causing a disturbance in a vehicle," the statement said.
"Upon arrival police observed two vehicles with people running to get inside. At the scene, police spoke with the male victim who stated that three men in one of the vehicles jumped him. He stated one male party pulled a knife to his throat and ripped his necklace off him. All three male parties were kicking and punching the victim during this time," the statement said.
After an investigation, police arrested Hector Flores and Jorden Maclure, both age 18 and from Wareham. Police also arrested Tyler Noe of Wareham.
Police charged Mr. Flores with armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a Class C drug. Mr. Maclure and Mr. Noe were charged with armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
"This incident was a result of a possible drug meetup. This was not a random incident, and the parties involved are known to each other. The victim suffered minor injuries. Both the knife and necklace were recovered from the scene," the statement said.
Police Officer Gregory Jaroszuk is investigating the incident.
