A head-on crash on Great Hill Road sent two drivers to the hospital on Wednesday, October 9.

Police were called to the scene of the crash at 6:45 AM. They said the crash occurred when a 17-year-old East Sandwich man lost control of his vehicle, first swerving off the right side of roadway and then into the opposite lane when he overcorrected his steering.

When he passed into the other lane, he struck a car head-on that was driven by Kirsten Ermi, 58, of Marstons Mills.

Both drivers were taken to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation. The teenager was cited for a marked lanes violation and for driving at a speed greater than reasonable.
