Two people were taken to the hospital following a three-car crash on Route 130 on Sunday, September 15.

Police were called to the scene of the crash at 12:20 PM in front of the town transfer station.

Police said that the crash occurred when Wilton Marshall, 72, of Forestdale pulled his car out of the transfer station driveway and into the path of a car driven by Robert Cutting, 64, of Plymouth. The impact of Mr. Cutting’s car into Mr. Marshall’s car caused Mr. Marshall’s car to spin into a car driven by Matthew Doyle, 59, of Sandwich.

Mr. Marshall was trapped in his vehicle and complained to paramedics of back and chest pain. Police said that paramedics had to remove the door of his car in order to get him out of the vehicle.

Both he and a female passenger were transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

No one else was injured and no citations were issued.
