A driver on his way to work reported finding an unconscious teen laying in the road near the intersection of Deer Hollow Road and Tabor Road on Tuesday, September 8.
Police were called to the area at 4:46 AM when a resident heading to work saw the boy laying in the roadway. The resident said that it was foggy and he was barely able to make out that a person was in the road, initially believing the mass to be a bag of trash.
The caller said that he had tried to wake the boy up, but was not able to do so.
Police said that when they arrived, they could smell a strong odor of alcohol on the 16-year-old boy. The fire department was called and boy was transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
Police said that the boy is expected to recover.
