Carmela Luca, 93, of Osterville died January 2. She leaves family in East Sandwich.

She was the wife of Francis P. Luca, to whom she was married for 61 years. Her husband died in 2008.

Ms. Luca was a homemaker and loved cooking.

A woman of faith, she was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Osterville.

She was a former resident of Scituate.

She leaves eight children, Anthony Luca of Carver, Camille Fitzpatrick of Carlsbad, California, Frank Luca of Canyon Lake, California, Anne Haney of Plymouth, Francesca Luca, also of Plymouth, Mary Benoit of East Sandwich, Lisa Badger of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Chris Luca of Milton; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 9, at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 76 Wianno Avenue in Osterville.

Interment will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
