Hope L. Anderson of Sandwich died August 10 at Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility. She was 95.

She was the widow of Russell Anderson.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Rudolf Stidsen and Agnes Anderson Stidsen.

Ms. Anderson was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester and of Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing. Later, she attended Worcester Junior College and Cape Cod Community College for courses to become a nursing practitioner.

She was a member of the Cadet Nurses Corps during World War II.

Ms. Anderson worked at Worcester City Hospital as a private duty nurse.

After she and her husband moved to Cape Cod in 1972, they bought Spring Hill Motor Lodge in East Sandwich and also Old Tavern Motel in Orleans. Upon their retirement they moved back to Sandwich.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Sandwich.

She enjoyed camping and vacationing in Florida.

She leaves her sons, Gordon R. Anderson and his wife, Ann-Kristin Pettersson, of Sandwich and Norman R. Anderson and Judy Sorenti of Sagamore; a daughter, Janice Anderson of Sandwich; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no services.

Interment will be with her husband at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
