Judith Crowell, a lifelong Sandwich resident, died on July 9 at the age of 79.

She was the wife of Howard P. Crowell, to whom she was married for 59 years.

She was the daughter of George and Katherine Roncarati.

Ms. Crowell was a homemaker and was instrumental in helping to raise her grandchildren.

For many years she baked pies and breads for the stand at Crow Farm, which was founded by her husband’s family in 1916.

In addition to her husband, she leaves three children, Paul E. Crowell and his wife, Ellen J. Crowell, and Jean L. Fenton and her husband, David A. Fenton, and Lynn and her husband, Steve; a sister, Katherine M. Alvezi; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson; her parents; and her sister Anne Tupper.

It was a wish of Ms. Crowell that there be no services.
