Sandwich’s 4x1600-meter relay team of (from left) Molly Silvestri, Ciara Molloy, Kaitlin Kelly and Emma Eastman set a school record at the MSCTA Division 4 relays on Saturday, April 28.

Another race, another first-place finish for Sandwich senior cross-country runner Emma Eastman.

During the Blue Knights’ senior meet at home against Martha’s Vineyard on Tuesday, October 8, Eastman placed first overall as she paced her team to a 26-29 win.

The senior, with a time of 20:18, finished six seconds ahead of the Vineyarders’ top runner, Eloise Christy. It is the fourth dual meet that Eastman won this year, after previously taking first against Falmouth, Dennis-Yarmouth and Barnstable.

And, in the MSTCA Frank Kelley Invitational girls’ Division 2 open, Eastman took second place with a time of 20:25 on the 3.1 mile track.
