Jon Brightman — November 7, 2019

When the UCT football needed a big play, receiver Jon Brightman was typically on the receiving end.

Though the Rams lost to second-seeded Old Colony, 22-21, on Saturday, November 2, the junior was on the receiving end of two touchdown passes. In fact, those were his only two catches of the afternoon.

On third-and-seven at midfield, his older brother Andrew was scrambling out of the pocket looking to avoid a sack when he connected with Jon for a 48-yard completion that culminated with a touchdown that gave the Rams an 8-0 lead. Then in the fourth quarter, facing a fourth-and-nine situation, Brightman hauled in a 34-yard pass from his older brother that put UCT out in front, 15-14.

He finished the game with two catches for 82 yards and two scores.
